Frequently asked questions

How is this chart calculated?

Each row divides the minute value by 60 and rounds to two decimals. 22 ÷ 60 = 0.37, 37 ÷ 60 = 0.62, and so on.

Do employers round timesheet minutes?

Some use 7/8-minute rounding rules, but the FLSA requires rounding to be neutral over time. Converting exact minutes to decimals avoids disputes entirely.
